AR Kaufman Public School results moved closer to the provincial average in results released by the Education, Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) yesterday.

ARK improved results in four out of six measures, indicating an increase towards closing the gap to the province in Reading for Grade 3 and in Reading, Writing and Mathematics in grade 6. In fact, I am very particularly proud our grade 6 writing scores, which exceed those of the board as well as the province. These results indicate the hard work of our homeroom and non-homeroom teachers, our support staff, our office team, our board level instructional leaders, and last but not least, our parents and caregivers. These results are only possible because we are a team.

While we are pleased with our successes, we recognize that we still have a lot of work to do in order to improve student achievement in both grade 3 and 6.

We remain ambitious, hopeful and committed to success for each and every one of our students. We will continue to work on improving their learning conditions and well being, in order to increase their academic achievement. I remain confident that our staff’s passion and skills, combined with your children’s energy and talents, and finally, our parent community’s support and engagement will improve outcomes for all students.
