Dear A.R. Kaufman Families,

This is a quick note to let you know that Mrs. D. Graves, our Head Secretary has accepted a position as Assistant Office Supervisor at Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate Institute, a secondary school in Waterloo region District School Board, effective Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

As most of you know, Mrs. Graves has been attached to AR Kaufman in many capacities for a number of years. Firstly, she lives in our community and her children have attended school here. As a parent, she volunteered at ARK on the Parent Council, before accepting a position as a part-time secretary in 2006, eventually rising to become the Head secretary here. In this role, she has gotten to know all the students, families and staff over the past eleven years. Thank you Mrs. Graves!

Mrs. Graves is a consummate professional, who competently handled the many demands of her job. She has mentored many new staff and welcomed students and families to the community. In short, she has been an invaluable member of our school and indeed she leaves big shoes to fill for her successor. We are currently in the process of hiring a new Head Secretary and will announce the decision on the school website as soon as it is made.

Please join me in wishing Mrs. Graves all the best at KCI in her new position. We will miss you Mrs. Graves!
